Welcome to Invention online.
Here, you can learn about events taking place at our facilities, and discover new ways of working and dreaming through our exciting workshop program. Invention is a leading media production and training organisation in the South-West, having worked with top professionals in the music, film, comedy, and writing industries. In our previous incarnation as invention.arts, we were primarily a music venue – now we are expanding into visual arts, film and media, the creative industry, and theatrical performance. We are a not-for-profit company dedicated to funnelling our annual surplus back into improving our ability to support the artistic and creative community.
At Invention, we are highly invested in creating the artists, video directors, and musicians of the future – and as part of our ongoing activities we place a great emphasis on learning events such as workshops. In addition, we play host to a wide range of art and music-related events designed to showcase the best of talent in the area; from jazz bands to design shows to interactive theatre. If you wish to organise an exhibition, a seminar, or a live performance, Invention can provide the venue, the equipment, and the expertise.
