Dhafer Youssef Introduction to the Messiaen Centenary Concert at Bath Abbey

In support of the Messiaen Centenary Concert at Bath Abbey, Invention Studios will be hosting a pre-concert talk at St. James Memorial Hall. Conductor Diego Masson, piano virtuoso Joanna MacGregor, and singer and oud master Dhafer Youssef will be discussing Messiaen - the man and the music - before the evening concert. Cynthia Millar will also be introducing and demonstrating the ondes Martenot, the early electronic instrument made famous by Messiaen's work.

The Introduction to Messiaen is free to concert ticket holders, subject to availability, and will kick off at 1.00pm.
